Basically, I have a model that I can practice with and she gets free pictures. I think it's a win-win situation, don't you? I love shooting A....er...don't tell my mom I said that...

Sweet Sixteen and All Girl

B is almost 16 and totally loving it! She is going to have a big birthday bash with all the trimmings. It was my privilege and joy to take some portraits to display at the party. I even did her hair and helped select her outfits. We had a blast. Love this girl!

The Windy City?

Sunday I did engagements for this cute couple. It was ridiculously windy but it was the only time we could do it! Luckily we got some really good shots in. This one is my favorite :)

Practice

In class on Monday, my instructor let me borrow his lens. I really love playing around with it. It definitely takes some getting used to, but helps produce some extremely pretty pictures, as you can see! The lens is a 50mm f/1.4.

I haven't posted any pictures for a long time. I've started a photography class and have learned to use my camera better. I absolutely love it! Here are quite a few photos. Enjoy!

Paying your own way for really good senior photos has to be tough. E was fortunate to have our photography class giving her many to choose from. Of course she also got some really beautiful pictures from our instructor. She was very fun to be around and photogenic. Good luck with your senior year!

D has so much energy! He was constantly moving. It was extremely hard to get a picture that wasn't blurry. But it was so worth the effort! He is a really cute kid with the bright blue eyes of his mom. C wanted urban photos for them and I think she got them! She is so gorgeous and urban herself that it was easy to capture the style she was looking for. It's kind of my style too!

I went to the BYU Women's Conference and took this photo there. I love tulips and thought this was so cool! :)

More practice

Last weekend A let me make a model out of her to practice my photography. She is a very good sport because only a week before this she had her wisdom teeth removed! She was swollen and also had a dry pack (I think that's what it's called) and it got infected. But we did pictures anyway and of course she looks gorgeous even with slightly puffy cheeks. :) I love you A and thanks so much for letting me do this!! Here is my favorite...

Just Starting Out

This week for my birthday my husband bought me a camera! It is a Canon Rebel XS digital SLR. I am so excited to start my photography! I absolutely love it! I don't know too much about it yet but I'm working on it...I'll be proficient in no time. :) I'll be posting pictures every now and then so I hope you enjoy them.
